Look at this video above – it’s not just Minority Report stuff, it’s a for real company demonstrating a for real (though in development) user interface that’s been quietly in the pipeline for quite some time. Oblong Industries is the company beavering away at this gesture-based interface, which kind of suggests some of the ideas Apple’s engineers have going through their heads at the moment as they patent a range of notions which could eventually become 3D computing.
